White people bitching about the term “People of Color” is not about their care or concern about non-white people being lumped together into one group that erases their individual cultures.

…

“People of Color” was created by people of color themselves as a positive way to encompass those who are affected by racism and the oppression placed on them by white people.

“Coloured people” was created by white people to oppress, demean, and dehumanize people of color.

Pick up a fucking history book.

Please explain how colored people is racist but white people isn’t. Call use ‘People of white’ from now one. Let’s swap some things in your text.

“white people” was created by colored people to oppress, demean, and dehumanize people with pale skin for something theirs ancestors did.

We are all people and what has happend in the past we can only learn from, right? Racism is bad,  but I’m not gonna apologize for something my ancestors did, reincarnation bitch I have nothing to do with their dead corpses kadavers etc. Let’s learn from our mistakes and don’t separate your self as a group called POC and hate on people with pale skin because we are all people. Because when you do that those people with pale skin will send that hate back at you and then more racisme is born and history will repeat itself.

I don’t identify myself with 1 organ who by chance is some pinkish color, so why should you? And now you probably gonna rage because of your roots and culture, I appreciate my culture I love being dutch and all but it’s just where I live, I don’t identify myself with Hollander I’m just a person living on this planet in the big universe and beyond. So why can’t I , as a fellow human, talk in this discussion of yours?

COLORBLIND is not a moral positive. COLORBLIND is an inability to perceive what the non-blind people around you can clearly fucking see. The reason why people complain about white people (especially Non-Americans) join in on conversations like this because it’s basically like asking “Why can’t I say nigger too? It’s all in the past now why can’t you forget?” This happened

This happened during the time my grandma was a kid, so you can’t say that this happened “so long ago”. 

Race is real. People respond to it, often on levels they aren’t entirely aware of. So it actually misses the whole entire point of discussing race and racism if your sole defense is “well what if it was the other way around”

WHITE PEOPLE IN AMERICA HAVE NEVER BEEN OPPRESSED BY PEOPLE OF COLOR

I identify as a Person of Color because I will not forget or diminish the hardships my  own family members had to go through to make life better for me. I am a Person of Color because when I walk into a store in an upscale neighborhood, people stare at me like I do not belong there. I am a Person of Color because a few miles down the street from me, The Klu Klux Klan still has meetings. I am a Person of Color, because when I watch television, read magazines and books, in our culture, we are conditioned to see white people as Real People, and black people as sort of thin slices of people and stereotypes to be killed off or used for dramatic effect. I am a person of color because when I go to the store, the African American hair section is full of products to straighten my natural hair and the makeup is filled with products to whiten my skin. I am a Person of Color because people like me are sent to jail every day, and then by the GOP are called the scum of America, moochers and welfare queens.

My ancestors helped build this country and decades later people are still treated like shit and expected to “get over it”, that we’re the ones who care too much about race even though it effects our lives every day.
